Key Outcomes
Research
- CIMVHR research is innovative and responsive in order to meet the requirements of National Defence and Veterans Affairs Canada. It focuses on many areas including protection, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation. Research may also have a robust technology development focus to reflect the broader interests and science and technology priorities of researchers and government. Databases capture current research programs, outstanding research requirements, study populations, funding and resources, and Canadian research teams. Researchers and sponsor organizations will be connected according to needs and interests.
Knowledge Exchange
- Effective knowledge exchange, as evidenced by the relevancy of the research conducted, and the application of knowledge generated, is key to the success of CIMVHR. Knowledge exchange activities include annual research forums, workshops, regular and targeted communications, peer-reviewed publications, and extensive use of social media.
Education
- A cornerstone of CIMVHR is building the next generation to conduct research and providing education on the care and protection relevant to military members, veterans and their families. This is being facilitated through graduate courses and other formally certified education programs.
